Positive Ageing

"Ageing is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength." Betty Friedan (1921-2006. One of the founders of the feminist movement. She wrote about her experiences with ageing in The Fountain of Age. She says in this quote that we should redefine later life as a time of growth instead of inevitable decline ).

Positive ageing is about taking advantage of the opportunities that later life offers. Professor Pat Schofield of Greenwich University heads the Positive Ageing Research Centre at the University.  She and her team will be working with us on the issue over the next few months.
